Description:
The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), through its Local Climate Adaptive Living (LoCAL) Facility, invites qualified consulting firms to submit proposals for the development and initial implementation of a four-year Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Strategy in Solomon Islands. This initiative builds on LoCAL's recent launch in the country and its commitment to channel climate finance to provincial governments to enhance local resilience. The selected consulting firm will work closely with national and sub-national stakeholders to implement key actions under the 2025 Gender Action Plan, develop a comprehensive GEDSI strategy aligned with national priorities, and support early implementation and communication of the strategy's outcomes. The assignment will contribute to inclusive climate adaptation planning and budgeting, ensuring that the needs of women, youth, and people with disabilities are effectively integrated into local development processes
